I bought this as a lap desk to use when I read on the couch. It is marketed as a toy but don't let that fool you. It is light weight, something I was looking for because most of the adult lap desks are quite heavy. The pattern is fun and the size is what I need. The cupholder doesn't work for coffee cups but works for bottled water or other bottles that might fit.
